On May 23th, according to the 2014 cadres training work arrangement, the fourth symposium of cadres training was held at the central campus. Our alumnus, the director of the Guide and Management Department of State Secrecy Bureau, Wang Yanbin who is from the Secrecy Committee Office of CPC Central Committee, was invited to present a report with the topic "Identify Security Situation and Fulfill Confidential Duties ". President of Shandong University Zhang Rong met with Wang Yanbin, and vice secretary of the party Li Jianjun presided over the meeting.

Wang Yanbin studied in Chinese department of LJS (Literature and Journalism School ) in 1980, after graduation he worked successively in Xinhua News Agency and other units. During his visit, Wang Yanbin came back to LJS to meet with school leadership and teachers. Dean Zheng Chun introduced the recent development and achievements of LJS and Wang Yanbin fondly looked back upon the old days spent in SDU and particularly expressed that he would devote himself to the development of LJS and SDU.
